Tokyo office operational since January 2026; Japanese-language website now live at navitecsystems.jp

Navitec Systems announces that Navitec Systems Japan, its wholly owned subsidiary in Tokyo, has been fully operational since January 2026, marking the company’s first direct presence in the Asia-Pacific region after five years of working with Japanese OEM customers and partners.
The Tokyo team is led by Henry Pärmi, CEO, and Takeo Nakamura, Business Development Manager, who provide local engineering support, on-site commissioning and technical consultation for customers deploying Navitec’s navigation and fleet management software in AGVs and autonomous mobile robots.
Navitec has supplied navigation and fleet management software to Japanese vehicle manufacturers since 2020. Since January 2026, the Tokyo team has supported 50 projects involving around 300 AGVs and begun working with new customers across the region. One example is a project with Kawasaki, where Navitec’s software operates alongside Remote Robotics’ remote monitoring platform for AMRs. A case study on the project is available in Japanese.
The team has also been active at Japanese trade shows this year, attending AEE Yokohama, AEE Nagoya and Logis-Tech Tokyo. From 21 to 23 October 2026, you can meet the Tokyo team at the Embedded & Edge AI Expo, part of Japan IT Week, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Navitec will be at the booth of its partner Daitron – booth A3-5, Exhibition Hall 2.
“Working with Japanese customers from Finland, we could solve most things remotely, but not all of them. Being based in Tokyo not only means we can be onsite solving the issue the same week but also optimizing system performance firsthand. The first months have been busier than expected – the demand here is real and that tells us more about the market opportunities than any forecast would”, says Henry Pärmi, CEO, Navitec Systems Japan.
Continued work with regional partners
Navitec’s distributors across Asia continue to serve their territories. The Tokyo team adds local engineering capability that partners can draw on for commissioning support, technical evaluation, and customer training.
Japanese-language website
Navitec Systems website is now also available in Japanese, giving customers and partners in the region access to product information in their own language. Enquiries submitted through the Japanese website are routed directly to the Tokyo team.
